Southwestern Investment Group is proud to announce the recent promotion of Jackson Wilcox to Financial Planning Professional. Wilcox was previously responsible for working with business owners and individuals on income tax reporting and financial statement preparation. In his new position, however, he will take on an advisory role to help clients plan and develop their financial strategies.
Wilcox has been a driven professional from the start. He passed his securities industry essential exams—series 7 and series 66—within the first six months of entering the investment industry. Wilcox also continued his professional development by attending the Barron’s Team conference, learning to implement nationwide best practices in financial planning and investment management.
Southwestern Investment Group’s Executive Vice President Mark Deering, has enjoyed seeing Wilcox grow as a professional from the minute he began a career with the company. “Jackson Wilcox is an exceptional financial advisor. Team members like him, who have the drive to always seek out learning opportunities, are the foundation of Southwestern’s success. I’m looking forward to his future with our company,” said Deering.
When asked about what makes financial planning the career for him, Wilcox answered, “My favorite thing about financial planning is knowing the work I do helps to give our clients confidence and have a plan in place, should something unexpected happen.” He plans to pursue further credentials in the industry related to exit planning and retirement plan implementation.
In Wilcox’s new position, he will have an array of responsibilities, including analyzing investment strategies, determining insurance needs and solutions, planning and coordinating taxes, managing charitable giving analysis and planning, and executing trades, transfers, and money movement. We are proud of his achievements and know that this step will continue to enhance his clients’ experience. He can be reached at (615) 861-8873 or at Jackson.Wilcox@SWInvestmentGroup.com.
